Hotel Pulitzer Amsterdam, part of Starwood's Luxury Collection, is located canal front in Amsterdam's city center. Hotel Pulitzer is comprised of 25 former canal houses, making it a highly unique property. The guest rooms can sometimes be challenging to navigate, as all 25 houses were literally connected together (in several different areas) to become one large hotel! Needless to say, it's a bit difficult to tell travelers which rooms to request, as no two rooms are the same. That said, there are some general consistencies to pay attention to. Guest rooms and suites located in the front of the hotel (in what was once the Store Houses) all have Hardwood Flooring, while rooms in the rear of the hotel (what were formerly the residences) have carpeting. Guest rooms have all been renovated in 2008 to include a more luxurious and fashion forward theme with updated furnishings and bedding. Most bathrooms include shower/bathtub combinations. The Hotel Pulitzer delivers style and service and offers a wonderful location, but some travelers note that the hotel can be a bit quirky in some respects, other note that this is part of the hotel's charm.
