The Grand Hotel Amrath is one of Amsterdam's newest hotels, but certainly not the youngest. The building was originally built in 1913 in an Art Nouveau style, modeled to look like a ship. Renovated in 2007, the building opened as The Grand Hotel Amrath, one of Amsterdam's newest luxury hotel offerings. A mixture of new and old, The Grand Hotel Amrath blends contemporary style with historic grandeur. Each of the hotel's 165 guest rooms and suites are meticulously appointed with fun patterns, luxurious furnishings and at-home touches. Among the many perks included with each room are complimentary use of the in room mini-bar as well as complimentary internet. We suggest reserving a room with "City Views" which will provide views of the canal as well. Most rooms feature bathrooms with separate walk-in showers and bathtubs; be certain to request this when reserving your room.
