One of four Nob Hill hotels, the Fairmont San Francisco offers a hotel with historic significance in one of San Francisco’s most affluent neighborhoods. You may have to climb a few hills to get here, but we think you’ll like the view. There are two towers from which to choose, the Main Historic Building and the more modern Tower Building. We recommend requesting a room in the modern Tower Building for two reasons: views and rooms. Although some may prefer the Main historic tower for its more classic feel, the rooms in the modern Tower benefit from impressive views, and are all newly renovated. If business takes you to the Moscone Convention Center, you may want to consider a more centrally located downtown hotel. Otherwise, the Fairmont appeals to both leisure and business travelers.

General Tips: The Fairmont has 2 Guest Room Buildings: The Historic Main Building and the Tower. The Historic Main Building offers more charming historic accommodations, and the Tower Rooms offer more dramatic bay and city views. Rooms in the Tower were more recently renovated, and tend to be larger in size than the Historic Building.
