The Intercontinental Chicago is centrally located on Michigan Avenue, just steps from great shopping and attractions. This hotel is historic by nature, as it was once a Gentleman’s Club, but now offers guest two distinctly different guest room experiences: A New tower or Historic Tower. Depending on your preferences, or mood, examine your options closely below for your individual room selection. The historic wing is just that, offering guests a piece of Chicago history. These rooms often vary in size because of the hotel’s age, but have been recently renovated to reflect a new meets old feel. Many rooms in the Historic tower feature bathrooms with separate showers and tube. Some rooms in the Historic wing feature wonderful views of Michigan Avenue and the Chicago River. The Main Tower offers more contemporary accommodations, and rooms tend to be slightly smaller than the Historic Tower. The Main Tower is considered ideal for those looking for a slightly hipper trendy spin on an otherwise historic hotel. The Intercontinental is a great upscale alternative to some of the larger more mainstream hotels of Chicago. Business travelers and leisure travelers alike will benefit from a convenient location, and an overall great hotel experience.

General Tips: The InterContinental Has 2 Buildings: Historic Tower and the Main Tower. The Historic Tower is just that, Historic. Those looking for a more Charming Experience might prefer the Historic Tower. The Main Tower however is much more contemporary in design, and rooms tend to be slightly smaller.
